The Griffon is the yearbook of Missouri Western State University. The first Griffon was published in 1921 and MWSU continues the tradition to this day. From 1916-1920 MWSU, then known as St. Joseph Junior College, shared a yearbook with Central High School, and by 1921 The Griffon was born. The Griffon provides a crucial glimpse into the history of MWSU through the eyes of our students by documenting campus life, current events, athletics, and more.
